Booking an Appointment
All requests for appointments or medical advice are triaged by our duty clinician.
All requests are added onto an online system called Askmygp.
There are now three options how patients/carers can contact us:
- AskmyGP system. You can put a request or enquiry online yourself. This is the fastest and easiest way to contact us if you have internet access
- Telephone – our Patient Support Team will add your request for an appointment or medical enquiry onto AskmyGP for you
- In person – our Patient Support Team will add your request for an appointment or medical enquiry onto AskmyGP for you

Askmygp is open Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm (*Wednesdays 8am-11am)
The duty clinician will review your request within 2 hours (or sooner) and will prioritise your request ensuring you are offered an appointment at an appropriate time with the most appropriate clinician or service. Often the duty clinician will be able to deal with your request without the need for an appointment.
The clinician will advise if you need a same day appointment, an appointment within a few days or a routine appointment and you will be contacted the same same day*.
*Where requests have been received later in the day and triaged as a routine appointment you may be contacted the following day.
Did you know we have Evenings and Weekend appointments!
We have appointments to see a GP or Nurse (for a smear) between 6.30pm-8.00pm on weekdays, and between 10.00am-4.00pm on weekends and bank holidays.
Patients can request a late or evening appointment just let us know when contacting us.

Non-urgent advice: Please Note
