IMPORTANT INFORMATION ALL PATIENTS
From January 2025 we are changing the way we book appointments with the clinicians (Doctors/ANPs) and we need your help.
We are asking that all patients with Internet access to contact us using AskMyGP.
WHY ARE YOU CHANGING THIS?
This helps us to help you get the right care at the most appropriate time. All patient queries and request for appointments will be reviewed by a clinician within 2 hours or sooner. The clinician will triage each request to ensure patients with urgent requests are seen as a priority and those who need to see a specific clinician for continuity are booked in appropriately. Alternatively, the clinician may feel it is more appropriate for you to be signposted to another service such as your local pharmacy.
With this new system you will avoid long waiting times on the phone which frees up the phone for those who are unable to access this system. It also ensures all patients have equitable access regardless of the route of contact as all requests will be added to AskMyGP.
WHAT IF I DONT HAVE INTERNET ACCESS OR AM UNABLE TO USE ASKMYGP?
Don’t worry, patients who do not have Internet access or for any reason are unable to use this system can still contact us via telephone or in person and a member of our Patient Support Team will add your request onto AskMyGP on your behalf. This will then be triaged and someone will get back to you using either SMS or telephone. However, if you are able to, it is much better to do this yourself as often the clinician is able to directly communicate with you rather than pass on messages via our Patient Support Team.
